J and C Read the News is a conversational blog that offers timely (and occasionally heated) commentary on stories in the news. We are interested in basically everything, although it has to be written in English. We enjoy big words and social theory. We are a pearls-wearing fiscal conservative and a left-of-center freelancer. But because we respect each other, we keep it clean.

Mystery is the spice of life (and will also help us keep our jobs), so no identities here. But you may notice that most of our news stories come from Canada. We’re sorry about that, too.
