Mitacs is trumpeting the success of its R&D program, Accelerate, which pairs companies with academics. What that means in practice is that Mitacs will pay for companies to NOT hire people permanently. Okay, maybe some of these projects are short-term. But the infographic suggests otherwise:

My favorite part? 92% are satisfied with the work, but only 30% think it’s worth hiring the interns for.
